Tanya Graham is Executive General Manager, Strategic Programs for Healthscope, having previously been the Chief Transformation Officer for Alinta Energy and Chief Digital Officer for AusTrade. She holds an MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM) and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Having now been in senior leadership roles for over fifteen years, Tanya has experience working with Board Directors, Executive teams, regulators, valued clients and stakeholders. Tanya has enabled organisational growth by developing strategic vision, strategic plans and leading the execution of numerous large change management transformations across Technology/ IT, Operations, Pharmaceutical & Healthcare, Financial Services, Government, Retail & Property.

Tanya has enjoyed extensive success establishing and leading high performing teams and Business unit’s to deliver complex, multi-site Business Process Transformation, Change Management and Program Management initiatives across a number of diverse industries, delivering tangible business outcomes and realising significant financial benefits. This includes leading large Technology/ IT teams, program delivery, establishing Operational Excellence programs and governance, developing and implementing efficient, scalable processes, methodologies and frameworks to ensure innovation and change are sustainable and organisational risk is mitigated.

Tanya holds an MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM), has completed the Company Directors course with the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a member of the Institute of Engineering & Technology.

With over 25 years of business experience across a number of diverse industries, Tanya understands the inner workings of organisations and how strategic vision, effective processes, role and decision clarity, capability to execute and digital technology influence and shape an organisation's strategic direction and growth.

The interview presentation was conducted during Sara Ghavami’s class: MIT103 Managing Digital Transformation, where the interview was produced from the UBSS television studios / Sydney campus on level 10, and broadcasted live to the classroom.

This is the second UBSS ‘fireside chat’ work integrated learning entrepreneur interview event in T2/2022. The event was a 45-minute interview presentation followed by a 15 minute Q&A with students.

Focus of interview:
This interview was framed around important themes and contemporary issues in managing digital transformation, aimed to help students better understand the practical skills in formulating, implementing and evaluating digital transformation strategies.

The subject places special emphasis on understanding how organisations plan, manage, and implement digital transformation projects – where we focused on these areas in the interview, including how modern organisations are using cutting-edge technologies to drive their digital transformation initiatives.
