Biography

Dr Chen is Assistant Professor in Accounting in the MBA program at UBSS. She has been a lecturer with UBSS for 4 years.

Dr Chen has been an academic for 14 years at Macquarie University where she is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Accounting & Corporate Governance.

Dr Chen completed her PhD in Accounting in 2014 at Macquarie University. Her research was “Stakeholder Accountability in the Australian Not-for-profit Sector. She was awarded the Postgraduate Research fund for her PhD.

Dr Chen has acted as an external reviewer of accounting and governance subjects and courses at a range of higher education institutions. She received the Dean’s Award of Recognition of Service for her review and re-design of the core subject Accounting and Governance.

Dr Chen also revised the assessment structure of Corporate Accounting and Business Advisory, incorporating real life scenarios.
