Steve is a self-named ‘pracademic’ bringing his academic knowledge and experience to his practical consulting and, in turn, his practical consulting to his academic work at both Sydney University and the Macquarie Graduate School of Management.
At Australian Consolidated Press Magazines, Steve has provided strategic business and marketing communications advice and support, editorial policy development and annual activity planning. Further advice is guidance is provided in non magazine strategy through digital channels.
Steve has also consulted to Fairfax Media (Digital) to develop strategy and consult with senior management across four sites nationally on specific confidential high level IT projects and IT tender management systems. His previous management positions have been at ACP Magazines, the Olympic Games and The Daily Telegraph.
Steve has taught Marketing at AGSM and MGSM and was at home in the MBA class. He consults in the area of business strategy development and marketing strategy with a speciality in the advertising, entertainment media, PR, digital and social media fields.
His recent consulting work has been with Channel 7 and Foxtel. This included working with Seven Network on the Sunrise program to provide strategic business and marketing communications advice and support, primarily in the digital space. This involved the development and management of non TV strategy and the development of the digital and social media strategy for Sunrise.
